The acoustic cover of "Don't stop me now" finds it way up to the second floor of a café in Bali. I light a cigarette and hope that this text in some magical way doesn't reach my mother.

I brought the cigarettes because I thought it would help me feel more like a writer while I finish this launch, an artist of some sort. I mean it didn't help, I don't even like smoking.

In my notebook there are notes from a story about John. You know, John was a guy who both at 6 years old and 16 years old wanted to be a superhero.

At six years old, with a cape blowing in the wind, and at 16 - with friends laughing and telling him to "grow up".

"You can't be a superhero" they would say.

And why John, you might ask.

Well.

You see, John understood something his friends didn’t. Being a superhero wasn’t about flying or wearing spandex, it was about creating your own path, even when everyone else tells you to walk on the path that they walked up with dirty shoes.

He went on with his life walking straight toward the uncomfortable, chased the exciting, and became something extraordinary: a ripple of good. He enjoyed his experience through failures and successes and from that others wanted to come along and be superheroes themselves.

Dare to dream the impossible dream and the dream will show up at your doorstep ready to be taken by storm.

For many, this might just be a hoodie-
